SUDDS Collaborates with Researchers from University of Haifa

Last week, the SUDDS team hosted two days of meetings with Dr. Michal Yerushalmy and Dr. Shai Olsher, two prominent math education researchers from the University of Haifa, Israel.

The meetings kicked off with the Joseph D. Moore seminar, during which Dr. Yerushalmy and Dr. Olsher delivered a presentation to faculty and students in the College of Education, titled “Mapping the terrain: Developing content & pedagogy meta-data categories for learning resources.”

Following the presentation, Dr. Yerushalmy, Dr. Olsher, and the SUDDS team met to share insights from their work relating to digital formative assessment and learning trajectories, as well as to discuss potential areas for future collaboration. The discussions left the SUDDS team feeling energized and excited to find ways to continue to collaborate with Dr. Yerushalmy and Dr. Olsher, and their group, MERI (the Mathematics Education Research and Innovation Center).
